More channels than ever before December 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I used to have rabbit ears and now I am picking up 45 channels. The trick to this antenna is that you must use it with a converter box that has a "smart antenna" port on the back. That way, if the box receives a weak signal, the box tells the antenna to re-adjust; no manual adjustments necessary.
Please be smart December 18, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love Hi-Teck and I'm trying to be smart about-it. Well I feel like I did get carry-away and pick-up for a ride at my expenses.
Please be smart, if it too good to be true, well there a good chance it not. This is a perfect example. I did love the idea to have a indoor antenna because I'm in Florida and it's the capital of lightning. According to what I read, this spectacular antenna can be the best thing and can past or over past exterior antenna. I find a HD, tuner with "Smart antenna" and try-it, reset-it, try again, put it flat, vertical, up to the ceiling, flat on the ceiling, in the addict... then I replace it with my old 10$ bunny rabbits antenna and I did get more channels with a greater signal.
I'm not an expert in this field but I try every set-up in the tuner, re-verify every connection and I did get to the conclusion of: This is smart to put-it in the garbage and put money in a good tuner a surge protector and a inexpensive exterior antenna.
May-be it's because my house is built with concrete block. But I try it in the window! My bunny is going and going and going. Also, I did have out-of this would good result with an Antenna Direct DB2 UHF HDTV Antenna inside, on the wall and perfect signal flat on the roof...for 35$ heu, This one is a no brainier, Dah!
Not impressed December 10, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This product was not as good as it is hyped up to be. I picked up more stations in my area with my rabbit ears then this picked up. I tried it high and low in my house, vertical and horizontal. Nothing helped, and at 45-50 minutes to program that was an afternoon I will never get back. I am only 10 miles from one of the stations towers for a station it didn't pick up. This was a waste of my time and money. Good luck to those who purchase this product.
Placed in the right spot December 8, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Once I located it high up in the room it worked great. Even got some stations that are outside the recommend distance. (I believe 30 miles) Used with Apex DT502.

advertised as a "smart antenna". I could tell only a slight difference in this an the 1500 which is not a smart antenna
