Went from Nw In to Charleston SC area, it constantly said it was acquiring a signal..but never did. I can understand in the mountains, but other big city areas...NOTHING! Think I'm going to return it.

I rarely write reviews but this cord never worked as a traffic indicator. Constantly turned off and never gave me any traffic info, was always "searching." Now after 4 months of use, it doesn't work at all - the plastic piece at the end is cracked (how? since I didn't take it out of the charger). It has been a waste of time and money, I'll probably buy Tom Tom next since I cannot believe Magellan would sell such junk.

Received Traffic Link for christmas along with Roadmate 1470. Had to return the 1470 immediately, which was replace by earlier version. After 6 months I have only used the GPS about a half a dozen times. The only traffic updates I ever get is "no traffic delays". Maybe I never traveled in traffic areas. The 12 volt plug end fell apart, it looks like the ring that clips the two pieces together must have cracked the plastic on assembly. Called Magellan they said since I did'nt buy it directly off them there was nothing they could do except give me 25% off $79.99 which is higher than I can buy on line.

Nice feature to have with my GPS. If I could get rid of the constant advertisements from various restaraunts, it would be perfect. Totally not needed and it gets on your nerves.

I like this traffic link thing because it is a combined power-supply traffic-link gizmo. I don't like it because now the GPS mounts to the windshield mount using only one groove and you have to plug the power in separately and unplug each time you get out instead of just mounting it in the base that had the power socket built in. At least the traffic reports are more accurate and refresh faster. Also, this system is much better than the old way of updating thru the website. You just buy the charger once and you have traffic for life, great! Good value for the money, good length of the wire - I have run it from top middle of my windshield to the bottom left of it and the wire just reaches. Maybe 6 more inches would be nice too.
