good stuff January 7, 2009 does what it says it will do, solves the California problem and fits my Avalanche
It works. January 7, 2009 I just bought this GPS mount for my Garmin Nuvi 750 for about one month. It works nicely on my 2002 Toyota Siena. Perhaps it doesn't hold the GPS extremely steadily(for example, it will more around if you use your hand to push it:-)), and the plastic looks a bit cheap, but overall it's good enough. It serves its purpose. It's a good deal for the price.
Works for me!! January 6, 2009 I wanted a simple mount for my nuvi 200w to install in a 08 Cherokee. I didn't like the typical windshield mount suction cup style. I'm not using the GPS for everyday driving so this mount works for me. If you bump it, it still holds on. If you hit it, it will fly off because gravity holds it in place on the vent. If you like the obnoxious and distracting suction cup mounts that say break my window and steal me, then don't buy this. Its easily removed when not in use. The price is right also.
Garmin HVAC Mount January 6, 2009 Received product promptly, then hid it as a Xmas present. Tore the house apart and till I finally found it, on Xmas eve. It was so easy to install that my daughter and her aunt did it. I had also ordered another similar mount for three times more and it worked well, too. It was a built a little stronger, but would/did work, fine. I was very pleased with both mounts, especially since the only place I found them was on Amazon..keep up the good work.Arkon GN047 Removable Swivel Air Vent Mount for Garmin Nuvi and Garmin StreetPilot
Once it is on, not bad! January 5, 2009 Once I got this on, it was pretty good. It stays pretty stable in my Ford F-150 and it was only a minor headache to put on. Also, it is not very receptive to trying to change the angle. So hold the vent holder while you maneuver your Garmin and it will be fine.
My major issue is it scratches the vents BADLY. Once you get it on, leave it on if you can (I live in a very high theft area, so that is not an option)
But, overall I can't complain for the price. But, I would suggest investing in one of the mounts that work in your cupholder.
