lightwedge book light is awesome January 7, 2009 This book light has been a great help, I can read in bed at night and not disturb my husband. In dimly lit areas it has also been helpful. I love to read and this book light makes it so much easier. My 10 year old son, keeps borrowing mine for his bedtime reading. I had to order him one too. I hesitated originally when purchasing due to price, but it is definately worth it. Several of my coworkers saw it, tried it out and they have know ordered one also. I look forward to reading at dusk before our campfires start this summer when camping!!! Hope this review helps
Big one works fine, just scratches very easily January 6, 2009 Yes, I gave the little one a bad review, and maybe I shouldn't have tried to read with it. But the big one works fine, its just that it scratches very easily right out of the box when you turn pages, so I would put a screen protector on it, not just buy the cover. Staples wanted $40 without the soft case so price is great, its just you have to pay shipping that is as much as the item price for the soft cover.
Lightwedge December 26, 2008 I'm very disappointed. First of all getting the batteries in was a major undertaking. The light is very low and doesn't light the whole page (paperback book). When the plastic is laying on the page, there's a weird wave-like pattern on the page. I had to hold the lightwedge above the page to read it. I had to use a knife to pry the batteries out so I could box it back up to return to the store.
Very low light output December 18, 2008 I bought this for an elderly coworker, and it looks nothing like the pictures when it's turned on. We went into a dark room and tried it out, and i found the low amount of light extremely disappointing. I though maybe there were multiple settings but there weren't. i couldn't recommend this product to anyone. of course it doesn't bother other people when you use it, you can barely see the light!
Scratchy December 16, 2008 It's a great idea. The light is definitely enough for when my husband is sleeping with the lights off and I want to stay up reading with a light dimmer than my bedside table lamp. The "screen" was pretty scratched up though. I can read through it, but it's annoying.
