I experienced the same problem that many respondents discussed with the end that goes into the lighter socket coming apart and I could not find all the parts. This replacement works with connectivity and is functional, but the cable is very stiff and does not drape and route neatly like the original did.

I searched for the cheapest replacement cord for my Garmin and this was it! It does the job that is needed no need in paying the high price at stores or pay shipping and handling through another website. I always can find enough to get the free shipping on Amazon.com that is the #1 reason I shop this website!

I bought this cable as a replacement for the one that came with my Nuvi, after the original cable was destroyed in a car accident. Unfortunately, the original cable had a traffic receiver built in, so you obviously will no longer receive traffic data if you replace that with this one (that replacement cable is around $100). However, for supplying power, this cable is excellent. It fits solidly into the Nuvi and I have no worries that it will ever slip out or become loose. The cable itself feels plenty think and sturdy. If you're just looking for a spare charger, this is the one to get!
