I bought this for my entire family. What a wonderful product. From the moment I opened the box it was up and running. I downloaded a book without reading anything. My 16 year old daughter is even reading books on it! I love the sample feature of taking a look at a book before buying it. We use the font feature all the time. Everyone has their own preference. It is great for students because of the dictionary look up feature, highlighting text and note feature. I love its green aspect. No more cutting down trees. My only recommendation is a light fixture. This is a must have product.
A great idea whose time has come! December 2, 2008
Kindle is a great idea. I bought it for traveling, but I enjoy reading it any time. It's lighter to hold than most paperbacks, and it's easy on the eyes. For those of us who need glasses to read, being able to enlarge the font is a helpful feature. I actually forget that I'm reading a screen rather than a book page, often reaching to "turn the page" instead of pressing the "next page" bar. I think this is wonderful idea for college students, who could eventually carry all their textbooks on this one little electronic book. It'll be healthier for their backs and posture. I hope more magazines will be available on Kindle in the near future. Will color be available in the future? Downloading books is a snap, taking less than 30 seconds for it to arrive on my screen. Fantastic!

Excellent product! Easy to use, and very intuitive. No issues, no worries. And too easy to keep ordering books. :-) But the Amazon price for a new Kindle book is over half the store. Great product.

My husband bought my kindle for me for my birthday in November and I just love it; I especially like being able to order a book as soon as it is released. The only problem is my husband likes it so much, he is always using it. He used to read for about 30 minutes at a time; now he reads for 2 or 3 hours at a time since it moves along so easily and doesn't make him tired. I don't mind sharing...I'm just happy he is reading so much more. Carol from Florida

Love my Kindle but there is one thing I feel it is missing. It would be great if it had an inside light so that you could read even when you are in the dark.
