Does the job January 9, 2010 Ben Norman (Palmdale, Ca.) It finds the fish. Now I have not caught anything using this but I don't think that is the devices fault ha ha. The only thing negative about it is that it lays down kinda at an angle and the button gets bumped turning it on sometimes which will run down the battery level. When you store it be mindful of that, other than that it works great. I get bites all the time, if I could just learn how to hook a dang fish I would be ok. Mine also doesn't have a watch band, it has the band that wraps around the fishing pole.
Floating transmitter has extremely short battery life. June 11, 2009 Bruce Sherman (Westchester County, New York USA) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
The first day I used the RF-35 unit, I was very happy with it. It was accurate on the depth and water temperature. I used it from my fishing kayak and when the fish alarm sounded I immediately cast and pulled up a crappie. They swim in schools and I was thrilled that it worked.
On my second kayak fishing outing a couple of days later, the watch receiver kept saying "no signal". I made sure I was using the correct channel, the distance wasn't too far, etc. It turned out the transmitters battery was dead. I had a second transmitter with me (the RF-45) and that one gave me a signal, but its non-replaceable battery also died by the end of the day. At $25 per RF-45 transmitter unit, I realized it was cheaper to buy the Norcross Hawkeye F33P Fish Finder that I can use with rechargeable triple-A batteries Norcross Hawkeye F33P Fish Finder. I have used the Norcross only once so far and am happy with it.
Not ideal January 3, 2009 Tarek Lasheen 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
just got it and had a chance to use it
its a good tool to tell you that there is fish out there but i would assume the negatives would be:
1) doesnt tell you where exactly the fish is
2) if its a small or a big one
3) at which depth is the fish
4) some times it just wont synchronize with the watch and keeps giving you waiting for signal
I would say go for a more professional one but if its just the knowledge that there is fish out there then get this one.
Enjoy
It's very simple, and quite accurate ... July 27, 2008 Mirtha Sosa 1 out of 6 found this review helpful
While not in use for fishing, I wanted to understand their roles very well. Bring me the manual to go in knowing apparatus, but did not even missing. As to the precise opposite of my fishing club, there is a sunken buoy, I could see the buoy and compare the depth .... exact!

This nifty little gadget won't win you the bass tournament, but for a casual fisherman, it works really well. Watch is comfortable, and so far has been pretty accurate. Thanks Humminbird.
